Rather than a pair of trusty loafers or her Dora Teymur boots (we’ve become accustomed to seeing the model pound the pavements in these), she wore a relaxed outfit comprising a fitting American football T-shirt, black jeans, and some seriously vertiginous platforms.
The platform boots, which added several inches to her 5ft10ins frame (“Currently 6’3,” she shared on her Instagram Stories), came from Marc Jacobs’s autumn/winter 2017 collection. A rare find for any fashion enthusiast and a mainstay at Jacobs’s Los Angeles subsidiary, Heaven, Jenner was no doubt delighted to be able to dust off the boots Depoppers foam at the mouth over for the momentous night of sport.
Perhaps they were a generous gift from Jacobs following her appearance on his autumn/winter 2017 runway? Kendall was one of many notable models – along with Slick Woods and Adwoa Aboah – who walked in the ’70s-inspired show five years ago. Kendall hit the runway in look 32, consisting of a loft hat, a shearling and red corduroy co-ord, a large shoulder bag, and more of those super-size platforms.
